Today we worked in groups to show a number with our maths fingers, tens frame an abacus and one other way.  

Like with our maths fingers tens frames fill a side first. 

Look at the abacus.

It has five of one colour and five of another to make ten.

We have been learning to show numbers with our maths fingers.

We know that we put our fingers up from one side of our hands to the other and that we have to put up all our fingers on one hand, before we use fingers on our next hand.  This helps us to begin to see patterns within 10 in our heads

The Last Supper

Today we had a last supper like Jesus had with his disciples on Holy Thusday.  

First we all sat in a circle around our cloth and read what happened in the Bible.  Then Mrs Fong washed our feet in nice smelling water. 

After that we said grace and ate the bread then drank the juice together.  

We remember that Jesus gave his body and blood for us! The bread becomes His body and the wine (juice) His blood
